It's been a few months since I gave a dividend income update, I've been showing a lot of my monthly income from options but I've neglected the dividend side so here it is! I've managed to make over $1,200 CAD in dividend income for the month of September, I'm super happy with this figure, its been increasing every year but since May 2020, it has increased by 50%, from $800 per month to over $1,200. I've been lucky to have only 3 companies reduce their dividends, but none of cut/suspended altogether, I do think that's from the company analysis that I've done in the past, always looking for positive cash flows and a good balance sheet. That being said, I feel like leaving money on the table, I'll be reducing my dividend income stocks and focusing more on options and long-term/diversified ETFs. I've been lucky with some of my stock picks but now there are just too many to manage, I'll be sticking to Vanguard ETFs (ideally) and letting the experts do it for me.
